Old and Gray's original "The Cause of the Financial Tsunami and its Solution" Thread
This is the second attempt to save the thread in its entirety; however some posting lead-ins may be missing . My apologies to Old and Gray ( the original author) as well as Duffminster; if anyone with editing privileges would like to tidy things up a bit, feel free to do so-

Update in re an FRB pub I thougt no longer available (5/29/2011)
Previously, I posted a criticism of the Fed system here which was unwarranted. In an attempt to test a link in message #656, I received the message "This page is not available." The pub in question was The Balance of Power, The Political Fight for a Central Bank, 1790-Present, composed by Tim Todd at the FRB KC. I originally discovered it at the Fed District Bank in Minneapolis.
I visited the KC site and after exploring various options, I discovered the book is still available. The site that worked for me can be reached with this link.

Kate! My angel has suggested posting the original.
Kate: My guardian angel, the tireless and unbelievably super efficent Margaret, has volunteered to replace the existing Tsunami thread which you have so generously and tirelessly rescued (not once, but twice!) with the original which she has salvaged and already tidied up minimally so that all original entries are as they were generated since March, 2009 on the MSMoney Market Talk message board.
If that is acceptable to you, she'd be willing to undertake the project. The only thing she insists as proper is: if she were to accept the responsibility, she'd first learn the html protocol inorder to do it justice and reproduce it exactly as it was formatted from the beginning.
Inquiring after how long that might take, she wouldn't estimate. But, knowing her capabilities, she's just liable to take an extra five minutes or so over her coffee break one day (which I suspect are little more than refuge to concentrate on something without interruption) and fifteen minutes or a half hour later, she'll return and announce she's good to go! Nothing is out of reach of her talent.
Margaret is most welcome!
By all means let her salvage the thread; I was under the wire in getting it transported here and realize some of it may have been lost. I haven't been here much as I'm currently retraining for Java/C# programming ( and just started this week on HTML myself ! ) ;-)
Best to all of you, I'll be visiting as much as possible-
Kate suggestion is appreciated in re tsunami original. .
Would not want to be in competition with your tsunami posts. Any suggestions as to how it might be handled?
If you consult the "Recent Posts", you'll see we have 2 volumes now set up, and will continue the project next week.
Your thoughts?
Once the new Tsunami thread is up in it's entirety
I'll delete the old threads/links so as to avoid confusion. I'm really happy they have been saved despite attempts by some who would discourage critical thinking. The truth will always prevail !
Tsunami Thread: a Light on Economic and Financial Literacy
I realized that one of the main causes that resulted from this financial crisis was the lack of the financial knowledge within the society.
Your thread, sir, is so useful to spread financial knowledge.
Financial illiteracy can be dangerous.
Thank you, Kate
I posted an additional note in my blog space. Margaret has some business of her own, but when she is free she will continue working on the reconstruction.
She is too much of a perfectionist, reluctant to post except as she wants it to appear. . . along the lines of the #1 - #50 and #51 - #100 entries. She feels without the emphases, the entries lack "impact".
Who am I to argue with a woman? . . Except to remind her that she has personal obligations and deadlines of her own which should supersede my dalliance.
Her projects shouldn't be neglected for the sake of the reconstruction.
